It is with great pleasure that we announce the acceptance of and confirm the participation of the San Marcos H.S. Percussion Ensemble in the National Percussion Festival. This festival is part of the 2008 Music for All National Festival presented by Yamaha and endorsed by Percussive Arts Society. Based on the recommendation of our panel of evaluators and on behalf of Scott McCormick, President of Music for All, and the MFA Board of Directors, we are pleased to extend this invitation and recognition and look forward to your performance.

By the end of August, you will receive a binder of information and forms from the MFA office. Please note all of the deadlines for submitting information, deposits, program selections, and music scores. You will probably want to start thinking early about your program so that you can submit requests in a timely manner. No ensemble at the Festival may duplicate program selections, therefore submitting selections early is important. All information regarding your repertoire programming will be addressed in an email communication to you within the next few weeks.

We also want to remind you that the required Familiarization Trip/Site Inspection Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, November 18^th, in Indianapolis. More details regarding this weekend will be forwarded from the Music for All staff. Be sure to mark it on your calendar now!

This invitation to the 8^th annual National Percussion Festival through the audition process is a great honor, and we are sure that your ensemble will represent your school, community, and state with an exceptional performance in Indianapolis during February 27 – March 1, 2008.
