| - There are two forms of "Scrip" that we participate in. One is the traditional scrip, sometimes called "paper scrip" (basically gift cards). This is where you buy the scrip from our organization prior to shopping at your local grocery store, gas station, or whatever. Each card is specific to that merchant. The scrip is discounted to the non-profit by a certain percent and the percent is then given back to the band and we credit your band fee that amount. The list of merchants and the percentage that you earn is listed under Scrip List. People earn a lot of money by just doing their regular shopping this way. You just plan ahead a bit.

- The other type of scrip is "Escrip" or electronic scrip. This is where you sign up your store card (Vons, Albertson's or Ralphs) on a website. The store credits the band a percentage for you shopping there. This is usually about 1 to 2%, sometimes a little more. This is easy because once you sign up, the money just comes into the band and we look up the name and see that you earned that money. Some people have made it work better for them by asking family and friends to go online and sign up their cards. Each of the above stores have their own sign up procedure that is on the Escrip instructions file.
