| - Dear 8th graders,
By joining the music program, you are making one of the best decisions of your high school life.
In band, students are encouraged to pursue their passions in a positive environment. We are so fortunate to have such an incredible instructor, Mr. Armstrong, who cares deeply about the program and the personal achievements and happiness of each student. The general focus is uniformity, and learning to work as a group. We are reminded that with group success comes personal success, and by working together we grow as an individual. Band is not for students who slack off in class, and are unmotivated. Band is for people who wish to bring forth all that they can offer, and want to grow in their musical abilities. It is for people who wish to pursue their passion and desire to do music, and are willing to be dedicated to such a program. Most importantly, it is for people that enjoy having fun, and wish to bring something positive and constructive into their lives. - I really love the program and all the friends I have made here, and I'm sure you will too! I look forward to welcoming you to our band family!
